Final year result and graduation

Hi everyone. I'm coming to the end of my blogpost for my tesl and graduation journey. I hope that my crappy writing and all over the place information that I provided will be useful to you, if not, I apologize. I will try to keep this post as short as possible.  I struggled during my degree years and my mental health deteriorated over the years. I'm diagnose with mild OCD which in result causes me to experience Anxiety and I am receiving help right now, so no worries. Progress is slow but hey, I'm living and that's all that matters right? Keep in mind, I am no smarty pants. I'm stupid and a product of failure. If you read my blogs, please do not follow my footsteps ya. Be better than me. Live your life, seek for happiness. Set goals. Live.  My final result is 3.67 (GPA), DL barely.  I'm graduating with excellence, first class honours. No, I didn't get ANC because like I've said, I'm stupid. MUET Band 5 and that's all to it.  There's a disput...

Practical During MCO

2020 is indeed full of unexpected scenes and turbulence in life that will without a doubt, catch you off guard. People lost so much in 2020 and I'm afraid so do I. I was doing my practical in a school in Putrajaya when lock down happened and chaos unveiled itself. The experience of teaching that I got before school was off completely was only one month- something that until now, I'm not sure whether it is a blessing or a curse.  If you are not new to my blog and have been following my yearly and so inconsistent updates, full of grammar errors and misspelled words (because I'm too lazy and simply do not have the luxury time to go through my blog posts), you know how mentally, I'm struggling to keep my mind straight and not leaning towards the realm of insanity. I used to be so confident on stage and would take any responsibility thrown in my direction back in high school but in university, I mellowed out a lot and had to deal with anxiety and social awkwardness.  So, ha...

Final Year: Semester 1

As I'm typing this, the semester has yet to end, but I feel like posting (an act of procrastination from completing my final year paper (FYP)). I just want to ramble about how I'm pretty much looking forward to leave this place, but at the same time, I'm hella doubting myself at the moment; doubting my capabilities to teach the students during my practical. But hey, I think there's no turning back now. A little too late for that. Some people are born with a nice personality, friendly and approachable vibe and a wonderful face. I, unfortunately have neither of those. I'm not even a smarty pants to make up for my ugly qualities. And again, unfortunately for me again, these criteria are important for a teacher-to-be, in my opinion. Because, a good teacher, according to what I have in mind and based on my personal schooling experience, should have a nice personality and a friendly/approachable vibe so that students will be comfortable to learn from the said teacher. A...

Bachelor in TESL UKM: Third Year Second Semester + Third Semester

As I'm writing this, I'm actually in my fourth year the first semester, which would be my last semester before I go for my practical. Third year- was it tough? I can't exactly say it was tough because I do have some free spaces. But I have to act in our drama class while at the same time doing the first few chapters of our so-called research paper. The research paper is difficult to do if you do not understand the terms and concepts. So, this is my advice, pick a good tutor. A good tutor will explain to you what he/she is looking for in a research paper and what do all the alien terms mean. My tutor? Um, I pick the wrong tutor so I ended up with a B for my research paper which is extremely sad. And dear readers, please do your research paper and submit on time. There are students failing this course because of it. However, there are unfortunate students who have legit reasons as to why the turn in their submission a little bit later, who fail as well. Hence, please, liste...

Exchange Student program & Winter/summer Program

Hello readers. It's me again, back at random times, destroying my own MO. Haha. That a side, I think this update is equally important compared to the other tesl updates (I think it's important. I don't know. What do you think?) So, once you enrolled in UKM, you are bound to hear or get caught up with the sensational and glamourous topic of exchange student program. And let me break it to you that yes, in UKM there are tons of exchange student program to join. It's just you must know where to look for them. Usually they will publicize the programs either through whatsapp group or you can check it at UKM Global  Things you should check before joining exchange student program: 1) the suitability of the courses 2) duration of the program 3) willingness to work (filling paper forms and dealing with the higher ups) 4) financial solidity 5) Suitability of country I hate to include number 4 in the list, however, it is what it is. For me, the one I've joined is...

International Summer Program (ISP) 2018 Chung-Ang University, South Korea.

I went for an International Summer Program at South Korea in my second year with four of my friends and I think it'll be good to share it here. I'll mainly just post pictures here. Any important details on how to apply and everything will be in a different post. This is not an exchange student program. Instead it is a International SUMMER program. So the duration of me staying and studying there is not as long as exchange student program. I stayed at Seoul South Korea for three weeks during my semester break. Program: International Summer Program (ISP) 2018 University: Chung-Ang University, Seoul, South Korea Duration: 31th July to 19th August 2018 (3 weeks) Course taken: Culture and Tradition There's a lot more pictures but these are the ones that I love the best. I really do recommend others to at least go for an exchange student program or a summer/winter program. It'll give you an idea how study...

I realize that a few people commented on my posts but it took me such a long time to reply because I did not realize their comments. In order to give a speedy reply, I think it's best if I just leave my email here. I check my email regularly so it's best if you ask me questions you might have about PKP, about TESL or etc through my email. My email is :  haruno_mimi@yahoo.com (Notice the word haruno, yes, I'm a naruto fan. Who watches the last episode of Naruto? Did ya cry? Because I definitely did)
