Hello everyone, whoever is reading this blog.
Good morning.
As per usual, I'm updating this blog once the result for the discussed semester is out. It's out a few days ago, and as usual, I know I fuck up somewhere along the line. Let me talk about the second semester first before I get into my CGPA and GPA.
So the first semester starts off with again, the usual problem with PKP. We have to register manually which is indeed a hassle and tiresome. But since we got so used to it, we kinda just go with the flow. Again, timetable clash is not something new. Sucks management, what do you expect. Again, we got so used to it we practically just sigh.
I got nine subjects this semester because I'm covering for the lack of credit hours last semester. It's hectic, for sure. There's a lot of tests and assignments to work for but honestly, all the Citra subjects were awesome. I mean, the courses I took were enjoyable and the lecturers were all very kind.I got excellent marks from all Citra courses.
This semester. we have a field trip to SK Bukit Lanjan to teach the students there. I'mma be honest, in the beginning, I wasn't looking forward to it because the preparation were kinda rushed and me being an awkward potato didn't like socializing that much but it turned out better than I expected it to be. It's actually quite fun to mingle around and teach the students. It was a challenge though because we were teaching in an open space so we have to project our voice louder but that's okay, I managed that. Of course, I'm not the most favourite teacher among the students, but I'm contented to just be at the sidelines, watching how they interact with one another. I mean, that's how it always been, that's my place, by the sideline and never the spotlight.
Then, in the same semester we have both mini and macro teaching simulation. I prepared a simple but nice slide for my mini teaching simulation but somehow, on the D-day, the slide won't open. The audience panicked for my sake but I was just so done with everything and anything that I ended up just took a deep breathe in and started a verbal teaching. Yes, you read it write. I did my mini teaching without any teaching aid. I'm just so done with it that I just pushed it through instead of asking for a second chance. Luckily my lecturer took a liking with the way I handle the situation and actually gave me extra marks for it.
Macro teaching; damn it's scary at first to think that I have to stand alone in front of the class and teach for the whole 30 minutes. But as I started my presentation, the nervousness and the anxiousness kinda melted away and I felt comfortable doing the talking and asking questions. Quite enjoyable I must say. Doing these teaching simulations helped me to check on my understanding about the grammar and rules of English language. It tests me on how far I understand the rules and how confident am I with my understanding. Thank goodness my lesson plan was selected as the best lesson plan (despite being incomplete according to my lecturer).
Alright, let's move on to the not so best part. The dramatisation. Okay, there's a bit of clash of thoughts in the group. Well, not my small group but the class group. I was only protecting my group member's right. They did their job, completed their task. Yet they were still threatened by @@@@@@@@@@ to deduct their marks. Half of my group members were not a part of the drama team so I had them focus on creating a board game. Creating a board game was not easy and I truly appreciated their hardwork. I really do because I witnessed their process of finding great pictures, cutting and arranging them, choosing materials. The steps were complicated but they done it well. However, they were still accused for not giving their cooperation. So, I decided to meet the lecturer and it turned out, the lecturer herself agreed to my way of diving my group member into two smaller groups. Of course, it's my group against all of them but that's okay, I've protected my group members and that's all that matters.
So again, I fucked myself up during study week because lord, I did no studying at all. I kinda gave up for this semester which was definitely not good, please don't do this too. I literally slept and watched anime, going out with friends... I swear I did no studying.
And during examination, I can barely answer any question.
So I'm not surprised when my cgpa drops.
Nevertheless, Dean List; I still manage to get it somehow. I really don't know how I did this but, but okay, still got it. I'm thankful.
3.7ish. Okaylah. not bad for someone who throws everything out of the window.
