What to bring: Fun Stuffs Edition

Even though college life might be all fun and adventurous, but sometimes, it gets a little boring especially if you are being imprisoned at the heart of jungle where there is no concrete buildings, no place to go if you are so worn out and in need of a place to relax; a break. So, in this post, I'm going to tell you about the things you might probably want to bring along to college. Let's go down the list!

1)Laptop
Aaaaaaaa *inserts angelic like voices*
Okay, laptop is essential for you to do your assignments but, it is also very important to you in the entertainment aspect! Movies, games- your laptop is very useful in this area!

Some friendly tips: When you first got into college, the first thing you need to do (else than getting to know new people, making awkward conversation with the newcomers, yaddah yaddah yaddah) find yourself a person with tones of movies/games/animes (coughs) and be friends with them! (muahaha) They are important in order to survive the glamourous college life! Only then you'll get your movies/games/animes. And to this 'supplier' thank you so much for sharing your magnificent collection of movies/games/animes to us. Your deeds will be highly appreciated and will be remembered till our last breath.

2) Internet/Broadband

I'm not sure if this works the same for you as it works for me, but I highly think that Internet connection is very important which is why I begged my dad to get me a broadband (thanks, dad). Maybe it's because I don't have any Internet plans for my cellphone which means I could not possibly reply any Whatsapp messages, Line and everything that people are using now. If you must know, Whatsapp is very prominent in order to survive life in college. Mainly because every information, every class activity will be informed through this application. If you do not have Whatsapp now, you better install it immediately.

Also, Internet keeps my boredom at bay because I've got to read mangas, read fanfictions and even download my animes! If you're wondering, I'm using Digi broadband, 8GB which cost me (my dad, actually) RM69 per month! I think it's worth it so go get it!

And sometimes, Internet connection that is provided at the hostel or KPP buildings, sucks mainly because you have to share with tones of students!

3) Novels/ Reading materials

If you are a reader or an avid-reader, bring them books, honey! And if you are not, you can just cross this option off your list. I brought only like 5 novels because I'm afraid I might not being able to read them all due to the busy student life that I struggle to juggle and manage them and out of five, I sadly only able to read three of them. Oh, and I borrowed a novel from one of my housemates so I've read a total number of four books during my stay in my hostel for the first semester. Ah, the number is depressing but at least I read something, right? Comics/graphic novel- bring them all. I'm not sure if this ever happens to other people out there, but sometimes, I swear I got sick of my own smartphone or when the internet connection is shitting on me, a novel or any reading material will be my good to go option! But then again, if you don't like reading, just shrug this option off.

4)CDs/DVDs/Movies/Animes/ Games

Born to be a fully-pledge otaku who is obsessed with 2D men or fictional characters coughscoughslevicoughscoughs, I am a classic money burner human-being, who collects anime CDs even though I could download them from the holy net (I did have quite a number of animes that I've downloaded in my laptop, tho). I brought five anime CDs and I've only watched one of them till the very end. Haha, stupid, I know. But a girl needs to bring what she thinks she needs to bring, okay. I've could only watch Kaitou Kid till the end and it is a very good anime! Watching the showdown between Shinichi Kudo and Kaitou Kid got me flapping like a bird and fangirling so hard that my roommate tells me to fuck off. Lol. Sorry, Nina but its them feels, okay? How can I control the overwhelming feels?

Movies/Animes, please have this in your laptop, honey. Among the movies I've watched are Sherlock Homes: A Game of Shadows, Men in Black series (MIB), White Chicks, The Tuxedo and The Imitation Game. I love Sherlock so shut it. Love MIB series, so nostalgic and White Chicks, it's hilarious. Animes, hurm lets see what I've watched during my stay in Lendu. Rewatch: SiH (if you know this, hey, lets be friends), Haikyuu, Free's OVA, K: Missing Kings, SK (If you know this, okay, you're really on my team), TR (this one too!), Ao No Exorcist and Shingeki No Kyojin: Kuinaki Sentaku. For boys, I'm pretty sure you'll love K series, Sword Art Online (SAO) and Shingeki No Kyojin (SNK). SNK is already mainstream so if you don't know this, drop dead, people, drop dead. I've tried to watch Blood-C but it's too terrible and boring that I've stopped watching it at episode 6 or 7. I watched Arslan Senki and loved it and still loving it.

Games. I only play VN which stands for Visual Novel but boys, I believe you have a lot of games inside your laptop. Bring 'em, play 'em. Or, if you prefer, you can bring along your nintendo DS!

4) Guitar/ Violin- any music instrument that you can or always play.

This, actually, will come in handy especially if you are planning to participate in any activities or performances that requires you to show your talent. Mainly, I saw a lot of people bring their babes (guitars) and I'm so jealous because I don't know how to play them. I think they look cool playing guitar but I prefer violinist, tho, just my preference. But of course, don't bring your drums, your large piano and any complicated/big instrument!

So, these are my suggestions! It works for me and my friends but  I'm not sure if it works for you, tho. So, bring anything you can think of, really. Until then. Jane.

Banchelor in TESL UKM: First Semester

I decided to update today, a day before I start my second semester. So, semester one is a roller coaster ride for me. It was tough, so many sleepless nights and anxiety thoughts. I enrolled in UKM on week 7, right on the mid-sem of the first semester. I was forced to merge with the 'arus perdana' students of UKM which means I had to catch up with all the seven weeks that I have missed; the seven weeks worth of assignments and the seven weeks worth of lectures. It was insane but I somehow made it. I remember on the first week of my enrolment, I suddenly needed to take a quiz of a subject I barely knew about. Can you imagine yourself having to take a quiz about an alien topic? I had to go through that since there'll be no exceptions or handicap for me even though I was a fresh, new student in Banchelor of TESL. My answers were all nonsense, nothing seems right so when I walked out from the exam hall, there was only one thing on my mind; I am going to fail this for sure. O...

Welcome to Dengkil : Pros and Cons!

I have started my second semester in a new place, UiTM Dengkil, Selangor about more or less three weeks ago! Well, everywhere you go, they'll be pros and cons and the same case can be applied to this matter. But everything I listed down here might change in the future so please don't immediately say no to this brand new place, okay? Lets start with the pros. What do I like about Dengkil? 1) IOI City Mall Putrajaya It's just 20 minutes away from UiTM Dengkil and don't worry, there are buses that will take you to IOI for only RM3.00! Back in Lendu, we need to go for half an hour to one hour ride just to reach AEON, which is the nearest shopping complex we can go to. Don't get me wrong, people. I love Lendu as well. There's AEON and Dataran Pahlawan. But in terms of transportation, I might prefer IOI better. If you want to go to IOI via Taxi (metered taxi), it'll cost you around RM25-RM30. 2) Putrajaya Sentral Near to the bus station. Plus...

Interview Asasi Tesl 2015

Assalammualaikum to dear readers. I make this blog just to put up my experience in Foundation in Tesl's interview since I realize that this experience is indeed valuable and needed to be shared to the upcoming generations that are interested in taking this course in the future. Like any other bloggers who post out about this particular topic, I'll be doing the same thing- I'll tell you about: 1) Documents needed for the interview 2) Preparations 3) Clothing 4) A place to stay for the night (for those who are going to have their interview in UiTM Pasir Gudang) 5) Writing test and also the holy interview.  I'm not sure if this will help you or not but I do hope that it will help you in someways, tho. So, let's move on. The first thing you need to do once you are being called for the interview is preparing the documents that are requested by UiTM. Print two copies of each documents as a precaution measure. Anything can happen so it's better to be prep...
